How the Besties Began
The Besties started with Vanessa sewing custom pillows one at a time. She hand drew templates, and used them to hand cut every part of the first Bestie pillow dolls. As demand and creative possibilities grew, the process evolved from individually sewing custom faces and details, into designing original fabric prints that could be professionally printed and then sewn into finished character pillows.
Today, that process allows us to keep the handmade spirit of the collection while creating a more scalable product line. We design the characters, print them onto fabric, and then sew them into pillows that are playful, giftable, and full of personality.

Each Bestie goes through a creative process that combines design, printing, and handmade production. A character starts as an idea, sketch, or concept for a personality. From there, the artwork is developed into a fabric design, printed onto fabric, and sewn into its final form as a pillow or adapted into other products.
